Camps at our Benicia facility
We are ready for summer! Our camps are open to kids ages 4 - 12 years. Our flexible scheduling includes half-day, full-day, full week and single day options.
BrickSpace Summer STEAM Camps offer numerous benefits for students who want to keep their minds engaged during time off from school. Our camps have the right balance of structured and self-directed activities. The campers learn by doing. Whether exploring their own ideas in free-build or working as a team in an instructor-led project, they experience the same processes of trial and error, success and failure, reflection and breakthroughs that artists and engineers in a variety of careers experience each day. These experiences are essential to becoming future leaders in science and technology. Our mission is to prepare campers for their future with skills like problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration and communication.
Tuesday August 13th and Thursday August 15th from 9 am to 12 pm
Our time machine is set for the Jurassic period, and we are looking for paleontologists to help us discover some cool prehistoric creatures. Inspired by the movies Jurassic World and The Good Dinosaur, we will explore different dinosaurs and build dinosaur models and their worlds.
Engineers get to imagine the future and design for it! Engineering week offers hands on and project-based learning activities designed to give students the opportunity to explore different fields of engineering like aeronautics, civil, structural, environmental, electrical and mechanical. We will discuss and apply the engineering design process in our daily challenges, and will reinforce student learning in critical thinking, problem solving, design, and group dynamic skills.
